About V10

We have been working on a new version of VDH that doesn't require a CoApp to run.

Version 10 of VDH comes with many pros, and a few cons:

Pros:

• No need for CoApp. Many of our users had trouble with the CoApp (antivirus, unsupported CPUs, old OS unsupported, etc) - V10 was design to address all these concerns.
• Faster downloads. We can now use the browser cache.
• Broader download support. We can now use browser cookies and headers for downloads, making downloads lot more likely to succeed.

Cons:

• We can only download the video in the browser download folder (browser limitation).
• Download As…   dialog only shows after the download has finished.

We added a subdirectory support. VDH will still download in the browser default download directory, but now the user can define a subdirectory in the Settings (SubDir1), and also a subdirectory in the smartnaming rules (SubDir2) as directory = '…'  .

So it looks like this:

• default: Downloads/myfile.mp4
• only settings: Downloads/SubDir1/myfile.mp4
• with smartnaming: Downloads/SubDir1/SubDir2/myfile.mp4

Additionally, you can also rename the file before clicking "Download as":

Restore purchase

If you need to revalidate your license, please note that V10 no longer uses license keys. Your purchase is linked to your email address. You will need to use the 'Restore purchase' procedure.
